Premium Prices Meet Patient Buyers
May 2026 delivered another solid month for Atlanta’s luxury condominium market, with eight residences closing above the $1 million mark and more than $14.5 million in total sales volume. Three homes surpassed $2 million, demonstrating that buyers continue to pay premium prices for exceptional residences offering outstanding locations, thoughtful design, and luxury finishes. While overall transaction volume remained relatively modest, the upper end of the market showed continued resilience despite broader economic uncertainty.
What stood out most wasn’t simply the number of sales, but how buyers approached the market. Luxury purchasers remain highly selective, taking their time before committing to a purchase and focusing heavily on value. Sellers who entered the market with realistic expectations generally found success, while others often needed to adjust their pricing before attracting the right buyer. As we’ve seen throughout much of 2026, the luxury condo market continues to reward quality, but patience remains an important part of the process.
