It’s All In The Details at 1065 Midtown

You might have a familiar sense as you walk around this condo. This was the former model home at 1065 Midtown at the Loews. (Remember the all blue and white color scheme?) Thankfully, it’s all changed for a completely modern take on high-rise living. I’m seeing more and more condos being completely redone, a sign our condo market has grown up.

Located on the 31st floor, this corner, end-unit home is literally wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass walls on all three sides. 12-foot ceilings make each space larger than life.

Matthew Rao, principal of rao design studio kitchen & bath, completely transformed the kitchen into a sleek, minimal, functional, and social space of the condo.

Originally, the kitchen was overly traditional in terms of layout and finishes. There was no pantry space and minimal storage. The challenge was how to pack in high-style, tons of storage while not taking away from the spectacular views. Everything had to go. In it’s place, glossy graphite gray SieMatic Cabinetry which reflects the surrounding views, accented by bronze metal drawers. Refrigeration is hidden from sight, blending seamlessly into the cabinetry. The island was also lengthened but doesn’t intrude into the dining area.

Finish highlights include: Piatra Gray Caesarstone counter tops, Neolith Black Slab Porcelain Flooring, Kallista, DornBracht, Gaggenau and Flos/Christopher Boots lighting. Crestron lighting and audio controls automate everything and make life easier. Custom drapes and custom motorized shades.

Lets talk about the stunning views. It doesn’t get much better than this. Sitting high above Midtown Atlanta, you can take in gorgeous sunsets with the twinkling city lights around you. Everything in Midtown is literally at your doorstep.
