Emerson Buckhead Defines Modern Atlanta Living (renderings)

Jarel Portman of JPX Works LLC and his team met with a small select group of movers and shakers in the real estate world last night to discuss his uber project, Emerson in Buckhead. The building will be located next to the 2500 Peachtree condominium building at 2520 Peachtree Road.

The three joined towers will have roughly 44 units with private elevators and range from approximately 1,900-7,000 square feet. Most units will have at least 600 square foot outdoor terrace and all units will have Nana Wall doors. (One of my biggest pet peeves about Atlanta condos are the lack of decent usable terraces.) There will also be one unit per tower, but you can join units together very easily to expand your square footage and views. The building will be 21-stories tall with architecture by ODA Architects out of New York. The entire project will be situated on 1.84 landscaped acres of prime Peachtree Road property, with easy access to Buckhead and Midtown.

The exquisite unit interiors and common areas will set a new bar among Atlanta’s luxury condominium buildings. The ultra-luxury services and amenities at Emerson will include an elegant fully-staffed lobby, lavish resident lounge with private dining room, and sprawling sundeck and outdoor terrace.

Something new for the condo market, prices will start at $1,800,000 right out of the gate for a completed unit. Pretty hefty prices (think Miami) for Atlanta, but this building is going to be a transition from the traditional design into something more modern and relevant. I think a building like this will attract a different pool of buyers from around the globe. I’m looking forward to this building because other than Sovereign, we haven’t had any condo buildings being constructed that pushes the design envelope. This is what we need in order to push our market into a more relevant space and evolve into the next phase of condominium design.

Emerson’s design team includes ODA-Architecture, Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio, Perkins + Will and Mark Williams Design. I’m also happy to say Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty will be handling sales and marketing for the project.
