The Residences at The St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead is now coming into the home stretch with only 7 units remaining for sale. Since opening in 2009, 43 units have closed at ultra-high prices – the highest per square foot in the city. I’m certain these are some of the most fabulous units in the market, the likes of which we will probably never see. (However, if you do some digging around, you might be able to find some photos of a penthouse, residence 1510 and the 2009 Symphony Show House.) The vast majority of the units sold have been raw space, so buyers are spending even more dollars to build and customize their space, then decorate them on top of that. We are talking some serious cash here.

Total sales in the building since it opened are a whopping $166,749,836 with an average price per square foot of $968. That’s the highest psf for any condo building in town. The Residences also holds the record for four of the highest-priced condo sales in Atlanta, as well as the highest price-per-square foot records.

On August 6th, 2015 Tavistock Group announced they would be raising prices on their final ten homes. That certainly hasn’t stopped buyers from plunking down gobs of cash to get these last remaining units. Lets face it, there isn’t really much left in the way of new construction in Buckhead – or any raw space unless you want to do a major gut job somewhere. This remains true for the near future until we get some new high-end condo projects in Buckhead.
