Located in Midtown above the Four Seasons Atlanta Hotel, this stellar unit combines sophistication with subtle style. Encompassing the entire South side of the building, you can be assured the views are amazing in all directions (with nothing to block your gorgeous views). This is a half floor unit with the best views in the building. The owner completely gutted the space and put the very best technology and materials into the unit. I viewed the unit earlier this week and I can tell you first hand it’s a special unit. There really isn’t anything like this in Midtown and I’m happy to see a space like this come on the market, especially in Midtown. The owner thought of literally everything when renovating the space and the outcome is very unique, subtle and timeless. The layout is pretty perfect as well, with double master suites on opposite sides on the unit and a wonderful large grand room for entertaining.

This luxury midtown unit features the latest in control systems by utilizing a Crestron 3 series control system to manage all lighting, shades and drapes, audio/video, thermostats, and more. It uses an array of different sized touchscreens, and wall keypads to control all aspects of the system such as custom scenes like “All Lights Off ”, “Goodnight”, “Home”, “Away”, etc. to make managing this household as simple as possible. The master bedroom features a motorized 92” 4K Black Diamond screen by Screen Innovations, which is hidden inside the ceiling soffit box. When the user selects “DirecTV” from any touchscreen interface for the bedroom, the drapes begin to close, the projector powers up, the screen drops, audio ramps up slightly and sets up perfectly for watching TV or Blu-Ray.

The unit also has some nice features for the full blown Crestron controlled lighting. All lighting loads and switches for the main areas are hidden away, but are activated by simple 4 button keypads conveniently located in each area for High, Medium, Low and On/Off custom adjustable light scene settings. The master bath and hallway use sensors to control lights automatically at night time. The homeowner just walks through like normal to the bathroom or kitchen and the system triggers a pathway of perfectly dimmed light. After returning to bed, the system fades off all lights after a few minutes. At the foyer entrance, a simple button press for “Away” will trigger the system to turn off all lights, audio, TV’s, set thermostats back etc. so you can leave knowing you aren’t wasting energy, and that everything is turned off. Pretty amazing right? Talk about true convenience and not having to really think about turing lights off and on.

The living room entertainment system features a Crestron surround sound receiver and handheld remote control for complete control of all of the audio and video sources. View Apple TV, DirecTV, or a Blu-Ray with a simple button press, or serve yourself up Pandora, Spotify, Tune-In Radio, Itunes Radio and more from the Mirage Media server that has “His” and “Hers” media streams. It features Bowers & Wilkins speakers for an amazing sound field that makes you think you are in the action! (I have B&W speakers in my theater and they produce amazing sound.) The rest of the unit features Crestron in-wall and in-ceiling speakers throughout. All rooms, including bathrooms, are not left behind and have access to all audio sources no matter where you roam throughout the penthouse.

All the Crestron touchscreens (5 total), and even the iPad interface, feature a consistent look and feel and deliver the same results from button presses no matter which you choose to control the system. The user recognizes the layout from interface to interface, further simplifying control.
