Gerry Klaskala, consulting chef and restaurateur on Atlas, handpicked Christopher Grossman from the internationally acclaimed The French Laundry to lead the chef team in Atlanta. Preparing for the January opening, Grossman is working closely with Klaskala in creating a menu that is seasonally inspired while using exclusive garden-to-table ingredients.
“Christopher’s talents astound me,” says Klaskala. “He continues to grow as a culinarian, and I’m elated to welcome him into the fold. Atlas is prepped to wow Atlanta’s most educated foodies, and I know Christopher will ad an element that we couldn’t get from anyone else.”
Grossman served as chef de cuisine at Atlanta’s Aria for four years prior to his move to The French Laundry.
“I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta and to have this special opportunity to work in this perfect location, collaborating with the visionary team of Chef [Gerry] Klaskala and the Tavistock Group,” said Grossman. “Together, we’re crafting a sensational culinary experience that will be enjoyed by local Atlantans, as well as by visitors to this great city.”
Atlas will have a separate entrance for visitors, as well as one through The St. Regis Atlanta. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen, highly styled spaces and outdoor terraced garden.
