Bob Brown Brings Park Avenue Style to Mandarin Oriental Residences Atlanta 45A

Mandarin Oriental Residences Atlanta 45A Kitchen 5

I went over the Mandarin Oriental Residences Atlanta last week to check out their latest model home – Condominium 45A. It’s quite a stunner, encompassing half a floor of the building with approximately 3,000 interior square feet. I really loved the soft color pallet used throughout the interior. I think Mandarin has done an excellent job of updating their models and finishes. It is the reason why they have been selling so many homes now.

Bob Brown of Robert Brown Interior Design was commissioned to design the space.  The end result is an elegant, light-filled interior that you might find somewhere in New York facing Central Park.

When you enter the condominium, it hits you – the stunning view from the expansive floor-to-ceiling window wall in the living room. A dramatic sandstone slab fireplace surround anchors the left side of the huge room and a bookcase on the other.  Beautiful white oak hardwood flooring was used throughout every room except the bathrooms, where natural stone was used. The living room leads into the dining room, which can accommodate one or two large tables.

My favorite room in the condo is the kitchen. I could be quite happy cooking here each night (but who am I kidding, I will not be cooking anywhere each night). The island is one of the largest I have seen in a condo space and has a granite waterfall countertop. Custom white and beige floor-to-ceiling cabinetry with brushed nickel hardware was installed in the kitchen. One of the larger cabinet doors opens to reveal a hidden, spacious walk-in pantry. State of the art Miele appliances include 2 ovens, cooktop, vented hood, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.

The master suite is entered through a private vestibule at the far end of the condo and features a spacious, walk-in closet, comfortable seating area and two large windows. The master bathroom has dual marble top vanities, sleek Kallista plumbing fixtures, natural stone on floors/walls and custom cabinetry with brushed nickel hardware.

The guest bedroom is located just down the hall and has beautiful views of the tree canopy, a large walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom with natural floor/wall tiles, and sophisticated Hansgrohe and Kohler plumbing fixtures.

A octagonal 262 square foot outdoor terrace is fully outfitted with a Viking gas grill and gas fireplace. This home, and all homes in the building, are pre-wired for centralized audio and video distribution.
