A Lesson in Designing Right – The Astoria Penthouse 1504 | $1,850,000

The Astoria Penthouse 1504 Indoor Terrace

This stunning penthouse at The Astoria came on the market a couple weeks ago. I toured the space during a broker open and I can tell you first hand the space is extremely well done. Everything has been thought of down the tiniest detail. With approximately 4,040 square feet, you have plenty of room to stretch out inside. Outside there are four long covered terraces to enjoy, but the magic is really inside. Spectacular views of Buckhead and Midtown are seen through walls of glass.

One of my absolute favorite rooms in the condo is the indoor/outdoor lanai shown in the photo above. This room is enclosed in Nano hurricane-strength folding glass doors on all sides. These doors fold into themselves to open the room to the outdoors. The lanai also has a ventless gas fireplace for those chilly Atlanta evenings. Pretty clever and very well thought out considering the terraces are not large by any means.

To the far end of the room, a Lenox Heath Scandium vent-free fireplace can warm up the room without taking up a lot of valuable space.

The penthouse is decorated impeccably with the finest materials and furnishings. A Crestron home automation system controls the entire penthouse for sound, TV, window treatments & temperature with remote controls. There are custom closet systems throughout the space for ample storage, as well as a private storage room in the building. This unit has a private two-car garage, as well as a third owned parking space.

All of the electronics (televisions, surround sound, Crestron), LG front loading washer/dryer and lighting fixtures are included with the sale. This just gives you one less thing to do when you move in!

Another view of the great room. You can get an idea of just haw large the space is. I love the walnut wood paneled wall to the left with storage underneath. They carried the wood paneling onto the column on the right as well.

The Astoria Penthouse 1504 Kitchen

The kitchen is another gorgeous space with everything you can think of. Stainless steel Thermador appliances, ample cabinetry for storage, two beverage drawers (plus two more in the breakfast bar nook in the hallway between the two guest rooms) a wine cooler and more. The island has a beautiful custom multi-lighting option glass top. This is a very cool feature and I haven’t seen anything like it in Atlanta before.

The Astoria Penthouse 1504 Master Bedroom

The master suite is tucked away at one end of the penthouse and it’s done beautifully. Behind the wall to the right (in the photo) is the master bathroom and closet.

The master bathroom is exquisite with white carerra marble throughout, dark cabinetry, separate tub/shower and a custom closet system and dressing table.

Wow, this penthouse is incredible! With that many windows, I can see how having the window treatments motorized with remotes would make staying blocking the sun and adding privacy easy.
