This Terrace Lives Large at Aqua Midtown
Condo living has its challenges when the buyer is looking for significant outdoor space. There are very few condominiums in Atlanta that offer decent outdoor space, let alone massive spaces. Spaces big enough to have an outdoor kitchen, hot tub, covered areas and outdoor dining/lounging areas. Look no more. This huge terrace can be found at Aqua Midtown at Penthouse 2301. We took a look at the inside space a couple days ago, so today we’ll explore the outside. Hopefully you will see why this penthouse is one of my favorites in Midtown. Above is the stunning Downtown view from one of the terraces.
Now what on earth will you do with all this space? Hire a designer for starters. You’ll probably want a landscape architect to handle planning where and what you will need. You can’t simply just go out, get planters and fill them with whatever. It can get windy up here, so plants will have to stand up to the climate changes. Remember we do have a change of seasons, one that can be quite unpredictable. You’ll also want an interior designer to figure out furniture space plans and fabrics. This isn’t going to be so cut and dry, not if you want to do it up right. That is what this space needs and deserves. Midtown just doesn’t have outdoor spaces like this.

Below: Enjoy the Midtown skyrise views while soaking. You also are looking through the cool circular cutout on the front of the building. If you search for the Aqua Midtown category, you’ll find some shots of the front of the building, as well as one of the terrace taken from Plaza Midtown.
Below: Looking through the covered terrace to Piedmont Park. The space is quite large and can easily accommodate a dining table and seating area.

Below: This is the terrace space which runs the length of the penthouse. Straight ahead to the left is the covered terrace with hot tub. The plans for this area call for an outdoor kitchen, dining room and seating area. It is all plumbed, wired and ready for installation.

You are probably wondering what the outdoor square footage is. Once I have it confirmed, I will post it here so check back in a day or so. If you want to get an idea of what you can do with an outdoor space, check out the penthouse at Luxe here. These guys did it up amazingly well. This should be the standard for outdoor condo living.
