I first wrote about this Park Avenue penthouse when it was quietly listed in October 2008. Finally we are getting some details about the unit. This condo can be yours for only $17,000,000, which by the way surpasses the 2500 Peachtree Penthouse in price when it was listed in October 2006 for $13,000,000 (**** THIS PROPERTY IS UNAVAILABLE CURRENTLY). These are staggering numbers for the Atlanta condo market.
Park Avenue is located in Buckhead and was the tallest residential building (42 stories) in Atlanta through 2007 when it was surpassed by  TWELVE Centennial Park, and the tallest building in Buckhead through 2008 when it was surpassed by  3344 Peachtree (Sovereign). It was one of two planned towers on a site with formal gardens. The total building height of 148.14 meters does not include the ornate curved screen on the top of the building.
Located on the 42nd floor of Park Avenue and centrally located to the best shopping and restaurants, the unit takes up an entire floor. My guess is it’s around/over 9,000 square feet. The owners have had everything custom designed, using the best finishes and technology available. Three private elevators open to inviting galleries with silk-upholstered walls and a collection of the finest artwork. It has only two bedrooms.
Below: Grand Salon with floor-to-ceiling windows, stone floors, trey ceiling and sliding doors leading to a large outdoor terrace.
Below: Dining Room built to accommodate 30 guests with skyline views and access to a garden terrace.
Below: Music room with handsome built-ins, access to a terrace with stunning views of the city
Below: Custom designed Siematic Kitchen with professional European appliances, large center island.
Below: Library with custom paneling, private office alcove and plenty of storage for your book collection
Below: Billiard Room with adjacent Media Room. Check out the top of the Ritz-Carlton Residences from the terrace.
Below: A 4,000 bottle wine cellar is in the penthouse, including concealed storage for your most precious vintages.
Definitely by appointment only to qualified individuals.
What else is for sale in the building?

WOW – I WANT IT, BUT CAN’T AFFORD IT
JUST LOVELY
LMAO! $17MM?!?! Never. Gonna. Sell.
Wow, 17M! Great penthouse and building. Whenever this unit sales, please let us know the final sales price.
Great write up…but I must say this price is way too expensive for the Atlanta market. To be honest this Penthouse wouldn’t even fall in my top 10 for Atlanta especially with this price…why pay $17M when I can go right down the road and pay 1/4 the price for something just as nice if not nicer.
Way over priced. My guess it will sell in two to four years for 4-5 million. For less money you could buy both Penthouses at the Sovereign and get almost 17,000 square feet plus a pool.
Allen Krebs built this and he is the best in the business,
Also known as builder of the stars
This place is truly magnificent, the price tag i dont know, but the photos which are great really dont do this place justice. The quality is impeccable. It was built by Allen Krebs Southern Traditinal Builders, .He has built 4 places for Elton John, Jane Fonda, Coretta Scott King, Baby Face, on and on. Krebs is King of high rise interiors in atlanta.
The photos are not too good, but they were supplied for me. For some reason, they wouldn’t allow me to take my own.
Beautiful decor, but not really my style. The price is quite inflated, but if they came off of it by 65% it would be attractive. I didn’t really care for their choice in a soft wood color because it took away from the contemporary look that would have complemented the appliances and the rest of the decor. Thanks for posting though.
This will never sell for 17 mill. when you can get a beachfront Malibu mansion for the same price marisol malibu dot com. This is nice but definitely not worth 17 mill even if it included the furniture
