Modern Luxury Living at W Atlanta Residences

W Atlanta Downtown Hotel & Residences

The W Atlanta Downtown Hotel & Residences is located in Allen Plaza, a large mixed-use development conveniently located close to Midtown and everything Atlanta has to offer. Even with the convenient location, Allen Plaza has office space, retail shops, restaurants, apartment rentals and nightlife, making it a self-contained destination. In previous years, Downtown Atlanta didn’t have very much to offer, but when the W brand comes into town, you know everything is about to change. The W is bringing high style and modern hipness to Atlanta in a refreshing new way.

The condos in this project are simply amazing. The finishes the developer has put into each unit showcases the very best available and offers every convenience imaginable. My favorite floor plan in the building is an 1,800 square foot one-bedroom condo with jaw dropping views of the Midtown skyline. The kitchens are so fabulous in each and every unit, including the smallest one bedroom condo which has a kitchen exactly like a two bedroom unit. The interiors were designed by the acclaimed BurdiFilek and are extremely hip, chic and modern. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout your condo showcase the amazing views of Atlanta

There are only 74 residences in the building and are priced from the $400’s to over $3 Million.

Right now there is a table and chairs in the master bedroom area. The bathroom is the same size as the bedroom.

Wow, that first view is one of the best I’ve seen! I was by the W Downtown recently and I must say the pool and bar area is stunning. I think many people have underestimated this development- it is really unique.

To my knowledge no. The challenge has been getting prospects to the downtown area. The condos are amazing and the amenities/services are hard to beat.

That’s a huge one-bedroom, nice views. People want to feel like they’re getting a great deal; I’m sure once Allen Plaza picks up and the W drops prices a bit things will pick up.

I think if this project was in Midtown or Buckhead the sales would probably be a lot higher. People seem to be more comfortable with those areas, probably because they don’t have to look into the future for the area to be fully developed. When this area is done though, what an awesome place to live…

This is one of my favorite projects in all of Atlanta, it’s incredible.

Kevin, I agree the 1800 square foot one bedroom looks great. What’s the price range for that apartment line? Also, based on the low sales volume, is the developer making any concessions yet?

  6. says: Kevin Grieco

The one I looked at was around $1.5 million. It’s on floors 17 through 26. They have had a very hard time with sales, so I would imagine they are really ready to get some moving.

From what I hear one of the penthouses recently sold in the $2m-$3m range. These seem to be going for in the $700-$800 sq ft range. But that is only one.

    Kevin,
I just received an email today from Barry Companies announcing “prices drastically reduced” at the W Residences Downtown. What gives? Any info?

  9. says: Kevin Grieco

Yes, they had to reduce their prices. They have only sold one penthouse since the building opened – that’s it.

    Unit 2702 sold for $2,420,700 on 2/27/09
