If I had an extra $7,000,000+ in the bank, I might be tempted to purchase this 48th floor condo located at Sovereign. All I need is imagination, an architect, interior designer and really deep pockets.
With 7,853 square feet inside and 1,719 square feet of covered terraces, there is plenty of room to make a home worthy of Architectural Digest or Architectural Record. Walking around the space, it’s was hard to take my eyes off the beautiful views all around me. The unit is listed as a four bedroom, four full bath and two half bath residence. Of course this can be changed to suit your lifestyle and needs. I think it would be really fun to create a two bedroom condo. There are plenty of hotels within walking distance, plus the guest suite inside the building to handle your overflow.
What makes this property so special? Sovereign has many good things going for it – including generously sized deep terraces with outdoor fireplaces, gas cooking, high ceilings, spacious rooms, top of the line finishes, floor to ceiling windows and the list goes on. It doesn’t end there. Sovereign is providing a lifestyle for you which includes valet parking, 24 hour concierge service (grocery shopping, dog walking, dry cleaning, tickets, travel etc…), security, numerous options for entertaining guest/clients, wine storage and so much more. Think of it like hotel living, but at a more private level.
Below: Finding your way around. This penthouse is on a single floor – which looks about the size of three units combined on a lower floor in the building.
Below: I’m standing at the far end of the space (where the point is). Ceiling heights reach about 14″, giving you ample room for large scale art pieces and furniture. This space is enormous! Regent Partners is giving the purchaser a large build out allowance to complete the space, after which your interior designer will take over to finish it.
You probably were expecting to see a completed unit, right? I think the developer was smart not to do anything to this space. When paying over $952 per square foot, you want to be able to have walls where you want them. I’m picturing something contemporary, but not stark. What about you?
This is really an opportunity to make something very special in Atlanta’s premier Buckhead building. Mostly every other condo project in town has already built out their penthouse units – meaning you will have to go in and rip everything out to make changes. Why go through the hassle of doing this when you can get it completely right the first time.
Below: Talk about life on the curve. The terraces for this penthouse are so deep – more than 8″ (conservative) – you can easily fit several seating areas and still be sheltered from the weather. The developer has already put down tile on the floor, but the purchaser will most likely put in something different.
Below: Inside again. I’m standing at the far end of the curved wall looking to the back corner of the building. What I really like about this space is just that – the space. It’s the ability to do anything my heart desires without many restrictions. The space has all the elements you need to create a wonderful home in the sky – 48 stories up in the clouds.
Below are some of the amazing views from the 48th floor.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another amazing space.
Beautiful photos Kevin. Could you please post some photos of Penthouse B? (Including the private pool!)
Can the views get any better than from that vantage point?!?! I think not. So much space. One thing I’ve always liked about Sovereign’s design and placement on Peachtree more than the other towers in Buckhead, from a residential standpoint, is that when you turn on tower place the area just feels secluded even though your steps from peachtree.
I actually just left Penthouse B. What you are going to see is space. The pool form has been poured already, but there is a tarp covering the entire deck – for safety reasons. The inside of the unit is still in it’s raw form, but the space is glorious. Who ever purchases this unit is going to have a superb condo.
The thing about the building is you don’t realize how amazing it is until you are up in the tower. You can’t hear a thing on the street level. It’s like having a hideaway in the middle of everything.
That will be one lucky interior designer who gets to help design this space.
That would be a dream job!
Can’t wait to see pictures of Penthouse B, especially the private pool! It’s going to be the ultimate pad in the whole city.
