The Mansion Brings World-Class Luxury to Atlanta

The Mansion on Peachtree

As I entered the residential lobby for The Mansion on Peachtree, the first thing that came to mind was pure elegance and style. The Resident Entrance is on Stratford Road, quietly hidden from the life of Peachtree Street. It’s hard to believe you have the best of Buckhead right outside your door. Most people driving down the street probably have no idea it’s even there. This is a definite plus for residents who are looking for privacy, but still want to be living along the grand corridor of Buckhead.

The residential lobby looks like it belongs in a grand European manor and has gorgeous marble floors, custom furniture and elegant millwork. When your guests arrive to visit you, they will be very impressed. One thing I love is the simplicity of it’s design. It makes you feel at ease and gives you a formal sense of arrival.

Residents make use of high-tech thumbprint scanners throughout the building – which is something no other condo building in Atlanta has. Using this technology, residents can go to the pool and spa and many other areas of the building without going into the public areas of the hotel. Since the amenities are shared with the hotel, it makes life a little easier and more private for those calling the Mansion home.

Let’s clear up a few questions many of you have been asking me.

First- What’s up with the crown? Robert A.M. Stern designed the crown to blend into the architecture. He didn’t want something that was going to stand out or be flashy. Makes sense right? This is an understated, elegant building with classic, timeless architecture.

Second- Where is the exterior lighting on the building? Again, this is a residential building. There is no need to call attention to the building because people call it home. The lighting will come from the residents who live in the building, showing off it’s profile.

Third- Why is the building is so slender? Actually, it’s not. The building is very deceptive from the outside. Until you are inside one of the condos, you don’t realize how large these spaces are. Each condo is either a half floor or a full floor and range from 3,393 to over 8,500 square feet. In reality, 3,000 square feet is a large home for most people to to live in.

Below: Not so slender. I’m standing at the base of the building and it’s quite large.

Monday, I’m going to take you inside The Mansion, up to the 42nd floor. We’ll take a good look at the model, which is still being put together. The model home is going to be very beautiful when completed and comprises half of the floor. I think you are going to really like what you see.
