I took a client to 1010 Midtown this afternoon and learned some information about what is going to be going in the retail portion of the project. The official announcement is going to be made in about two to three weeks.

- The LOEWS Hotel will have a limited number of 60 residences above the hotel. They are going to be starting at $1.5 million dollars – that’s $500 a square foot! According to what I was told, they aren’t going to budge on the pricing at all. I do not believe the condos are going to be a part of the Loews Hotel. I would guess they will have access to the hotel services.
- One of the big restaurant announcements is going to name Ri Ra Irish Pub as it’s tenant. Rí Rá Irish Pub & Restaurant strives to create the ultimate dining and entertainment experience. The Ri Ra goal is to deliver the quintessential Irish Pub experience – the real flavour of Ireland rather than some pale impression of one! Ri Ra is meticulous in pursuit of this goal, from sourcing authentic and often famous old pubs in Ireland such as the Olympia Theatre, which first opened in Dublin in 1879. Once restored and shipped to the US.
- Some considerations for the retail tenants are the following: Chanel, Coach, YSL, Valentino, Gucci and quite a few others. From what I gathered, Gucci is one of the big choices. They were all big names and more boutique type places.
- Grocer selections? Forget Publix and Kroger. Think Dean & Deluca and Whole Foods. There was one more selection whose name escapes me.
