I stopped by the sales center for The Brookwood yesterday and took some photos of their very chic model home. The finishes are tasteful and modern, without being stark. The Brookwood is Atlanta’s first green high-rise community, which means things like paint and carpeting systems that reduce indoor air contaminants, eco-friendly fireplaces and other energy saving features. The Brookwood has been quietly rising in the historical Brookwood Hills neighborhood for quite some time. The exterior of the building is nearly complete and I’m loving the modern windows set against the classic facade. I think the exterior is a really nice compliment to the neighborhood and it blends into the surroundings. If you haven’t driven through Brookwood Hills, you should. It’s a really gorgeous area and it’s conveniently located within minutes from Midtown.

I’m certain of one thing, the interior of The Brookwood is going to be beautiful and chic. On the outside, The Brookwood is mostly traditional in its design, but step inside and there is going to be a twist. It’s the edge that Atlanta needs to move into the next phase of condominium design. Contemporary living isn’t for everyone, so The Brookwood is going to offer traditional type finishes as well. Its sounds like a good mix – something for everyone.

The Brookwood has been quietly rising on Peachtree Street for quite some time. The penthouse level is almost complete in the Peachtree Tower portion of the project, but for the most part the building is topped out. There hasn’t really been much press on the project, but I do know the developer decided to wait to begin the sales process until the building was well underway – It’s beyond underway.
