There is always something do to in Piedmont Park and when the green return, you’ll find Atlanta residents enjoying the fresh air and scenery in over 189 acres. This coming weekend is the Dogwood Festival, which has been in existence for more than 70 years. I took these photos on Friday and the trees and flowers should be at their peak for the festival. This is great news for everyone who lives around Piedmont Park, especially those who are going to take up residence at Luxe Midtown. Having access to the park is a wonderful thing. It’s literally steps from your front door. The park is a huge part of Atlanta’s culture, so it’s really exciting news to see these changes being made.
The Conservancy is utilizing the returned three acres of woodlands to access the northern part of Piedmont Park and now is in the process of expanding the Park by 53 acres, a 40 percent increase in useable green space.
