It was built before its time and was a victim of the economy. It has everything you would probably like in a new construction condo, but there is only one problem. You can’t purchase it. Right now, the condos that sit squarely above the Loews Hotel are available only for lease. The project is called 10 Sixty Five Midtown. It’s part of the massive 12th & Midtown complex planned to revitalize Midtown with lots of new places to eat, sleep, dine, work and shop. With only 52 condos, this is definitely a boutique style condominium building. The developer has put in some beautiful finishes, so for those people who don’t want to do a lot to the condo except move in, this will be a smart choice once they start selling again. And they will sell these units at some point in the future. But for right now, this isn’t adding to our unsold condo inventory. Click Here for More Photos & the Rest of the Feature

With only 52 residences, 10 Sixty Five Midtown offers residents superb rentals atop of the AAA Four Diamond Loews Hotel. I’m certain you know the building is located at the massive 12th & Midtown complex on Peachtree Street between 12th and 11th Streets. Today, I’m going to show you a few shots of the amenities for the building. Later in the week we’ll go inside and take a look at a couple of the units (which are quite beautiful).
Now… it takes a lot to impress me because I have seen a tremendous amount of condominiums over the course of 10 years. This project did impress me from top to bottom. What I love is the intimate feel of the building due to its small size and the styling of the public rooms. The residences are located from floor 27 through 37 and there are approximately five units per floor. Click Here for More Photos & the Rest of the Feature

When I attended the TweetUp, Steven Spivak, Director of Sales & Marketing for Loews Hotels advised us the condos on top of the hotel would most likely be corporate type rentals. Currently, Atlanta has a large number of condo rentals available, but many are unfurnished. The Loews can definitely fill a void in our market for luxury furnished rentals. They are pretty scarce if you dig deeply and try and find something worthy of a corporate executive. Click Here for More Photos & the Rest of the Feature

Today I attended my first TweetUp. The idea was to get a bunch of Tweeters together to explore the new Loews Hotel in Midtown. We were the first people to see the inside of the hotel, so it was quite special.
If you follow me on Twitter, you probably already read my comments as I was wandering through the hotel. If not, you can always go back and read them because there is some great information there.
Above is the Lobby. It’s a beautiful space with huge ceilings, great finishes and can accommodate a large number of people. Loews doesn’t have dedicated front desk people. Everyone on the floor can assist you with your needs. Think of it like concierge service. Ask and you shall receive… I’ll test those limits when the hotel opens. The Loews Atlanta Hotel is set to open the first quarter of 2010, but what’s going on with the residences? Jason Winburn with Daniel Corp. advised me in June the condos would be completed by January or February of next year. Click Here for More Photos & the Rest of the Feature
