The Residences at the W Atlanta Downtown recently unveiled two new model homes on the 18th floor to kickoff the new sales relaunch. Each home is tastefully decorated and, in this go-round, they decided to go for more comfortable surroundings instead of the hard contemporary feel from last year. It works so much better and I think buyers will relate to project. (We all know the modern aesthetic doesn’t fare so well in Atlanta real estate.)
Each residence has 10 foot ceilings, solid core interior doors throughout your unit, pre-wiring for every technological convenience, electrical outlets near ceiling for automated draperies/shades, large floor-to-ceiling windows, open floor plans, coat closets, recessed lighting, separate laundry rooms in some units, large walk-in closets, and some larger units even have a service entrance.
I particularly love the W condos because of the kitchens. The standard appliance package is so much better than anything I have seen before in Atlanta. Yes, we always see Viking®, Thermador and many other high-end appliances, but when do we see Gaggenau? And have you even heard of this German, high-end appliance manufacturer? They have won all kinds of awards for their design and innovation so be sure to check them out.
The first model home I’m showing you is a two-bedroom condo with a wide open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, beautiful kitchen with large center island, two full bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Below: This space was made for entertaining. A couple things I would do. I’d wrap the column in the kitchen with the same finish as the cabinetry and also add the backsplash trim above the cabinets on the wall. I think that would finish off the space nicely. This is a great space for easy furniture placement because of the rectangular shape. Don’t be afraid to float your furniture in the room instead of pushing it against the wall for a more open feel.
I particularly love these condominiums because of the kitchens. In my opinion, the standard appliance package is better than many others I have seen before in Atlanta. We always see Viking®, Thermador and other brands, but when do we see Gaggenau? And have you heard of this German high-end appliance manufacturer? They have won all kinds of awards for their design and innovation. I believe they are among the very best you can purchase. There are Dornbracht fixtures used throughout each condo.
What appliances and finishes are available at the W? Ultra-stylish Alno German kitchen cabinetry with wood and lacquer finishes; State-of-the-art Gaggenau appliances (30-inch Convection Oven, 36-inch gas cooktop, 36-inch Two Door Bottom Freezer, 36-inch Wall Hood, 24-inch Fully Automatic Dishwasher, 30-inch Microwave and each unit has either an Under Counter Wine Storage or a Tall Wine Storage Column). This includes the smallest one-bedroom condo. Yes!
