There aren’t too many penthouses in Atlanta where you can find just as much exterior space as interior space, but this penthouse at Aqua Midtown has both. Best of all, it has never been occupied so you don’t really have to deal with any “mistakes” the previous owner has made. This particular penthouse was supposed to have been the developers personal residence, but he has since moved on. There were some changes made to the space (definitely good ones) so this isn’t your cookie-cutter plan.
You enter the penthouse from a private elevator foyer. The space is round and features a trey ceiling and a hidden door leading to the service area. There is also a media room with a screen that drops down from the ceiling. The entire condo has been pre-wired (which cost over $50,000) for anything your heart desires. You can have total home automation, including remote controlled shades. There are a large amount of windows throughout, so the space is always bright and sunny. Major rooms open directly out to the terraces.
Penthouse 2301 is now on the market for your taking at an asking price of $1,175,000. I believe this is one of the best spaces in Midtown and definitely one of the most unique. The condo market has been picking up steam over the past months and it has left me wondering why this is still on the market? Lets take a look around and you can let me know your thoughts.
Below: The great room. This room now features a built-in wet bar with an ice-maker and stainless sink. It also has a beautiful backsplash. You can see the covered terrace through the window. There is a nice outdoor hot tub with tremendous views of the city. The ceiling is curved and echoes the curved walls in the foyer and hall. The wet bar is not a standard feature for any of the units in Aqua.
Below: The kitchen is to the left. Sliding glass doors lead out to the massive terrace to the right. Hardwood floors are used throughout the space.
Below: To the left is the kitchen. This space is quite large by Midtown standards.
Below: The kitchen. There is a breakfast bar which should seat about four comfortably, a center island with wine cooler, double stainless sink, double-ovens, dishwasher, microwave, built-in refrigerator, vented stainless hood, six-burner cooktop, warming drawer and walk-in pantry. The backsplash covers all of the wall, right up to the ceiling. This kitchen has plenty of storage space as well.
Below: The master bathroom is quite glorious. The design is modern and fresh with plenty of floor-to-ceiling glass to let the sun shine in. Straight ahead is the covered terrace and to the right is the steam shower. This bathroom is unique to the building. While other units have the same tub, none have the shower where it is.
Below: Looking back into the master bedroom. The wall of windows continues from one end of the space to the other.
Below: To the right is the double vanity, left is the steam shower and straight ahead is the tub.
Below: The master bath tub is pretty cool. The round silver fixture in the ceiling is where the water comes down to the fill the tub. When the tub is filled up, the water flows over the edge and recirculates. You have your own infinity edge soaking tub.
Below: Fabulous views of Midtown while soaking.
Below: The steam shower has views and lots of body sprays overhead and on the wall. Seamless glass encloses both sides of the shower.
Below: The inset is the perfect place to keep your shampoo and other items neatly tucked away.
I haven’t shown you some of the other cool features of this space, so you will have to see those in person. If you are interested, please contact me for a private viewing.
