4th of July Fireworks from the Mansion in Buckhead (photos)
It was another spectacular 4th of July fireworks show in Buckhead at Lenox Square. Attendance looked like it was down slightly from last year, but there were still thousands of people watching the show. After a few warning sounds from the MC at the Lenox stage, the show began at 9:40 pm and continued for about a half hour. Each mini-display got larger and louder. The grand finale was truly spectacular and the sky was lit up like a Christmas tree. (Now if they could only get the Macy’s Christmas tree looking this good…)
I watched the show from my gorgeous room at the Mansion on Peachtree, which is across the street from Lenox Square. I’m not one for enormous crowds or having to wait to leave, so checking into the Mansion made quite a bit of sense. The hotel was offering a few Fourth of July packages, including one where you could attend a barbecue at Neo and then go up to the top of the building to watch the show below. I opted for privacy and enjoyed some cocktails on my terrace. Did you see the show? What did you think? Enjoy the rest of the photos!

Great pictures! We had a hard time finding a place in buckhead where we could actually watch from the room and have a terrace too so we ended up at the omni and watched them at centennial park-they were beautiful but the room had a wall next to it so we could see the park great but as soon as the fireworks began we had to run down the hall to a window and watch the show! The wall blocked the show! How much was the room at the mansion for that night? The only place we thought you could see the fireworks at lennox from a room was the ritz and they were full by thursday. We may consider the mansion nxt year but we either have to have a suite or 2 rooms to accomodate kids too-thanks for the info! Pics are great too !

The Mansion was having a few different options and it was quite fabulous. There were a number of places surrounding the hotel that allowed people to bring blankets/etc… to watch the show. The Mansion was letting people up to the top of the building (in an unfinished condo) to watch the fireworks show.

Oh really Kevin? I was considering that brand…what model do you have? I need to learn some more of the cool spots around Atlanta apparently

I use a D60, but the newer versions are much better.
