Dogwood Festival This Weekend in Piedmont Park
There is always something do to in Piedmont Park and when the green return, you’ll find Atlanta residents enjoying the fresh air and scenery in over 189 acres. This coming weekend is the Dogwood Festival, which has been in existence for more than 70 years. I took these photos on Friday and the trees and flowers should be at their peak for the festival.

Myself, my wife,and two young children made it down to the park for the festival and here are a few of my observations:
1.) Parking is a pain. we almost could have walked from our home in morningside easier than parking close to the event.
2.) the weather was fantastic
3.) the turn out was huge but that worked against us as festival goers. We did not stay long as it was hard to move around and see the art.
4.) Piedmont park has gone though major upgrades and as you can see in your photos above the new pool facility is top notch.
Glad this festival is still alive and well in Atlanta.
