As an Atlanta native, I say scrap the whole Rodeo drive wanna be idea and build something similar to what Buckhead was traditionally: small shops, restaurants and bars. Maybe Buckhead Men's Shop will even come back. The so-called Rodeo Drive of the South idea stinks to high heaven. If the number of smash and grabs is any indication, high end stores don't bring buyers, they bring robbers. I live around the corner from the hole that wants to be Streets of Buckhead. Allowed them to essentially complete construction of the large retail project and called the loan 2 weeks before opening. I know luxury rentals are HOT right now, but lets not add to 05 Buckhead, Mezzo, now Loews and other luxury rentals I didn't mention as well as owners already renting out their condo units. $200M?
