Are those safety nets? I would pass all the way out and then some if my body ended up in one of those…I am sure I will be glad they were there later on though?
Or are those just to catch tools and things?

You are right on both accounts Ricardo. They are in place to catch tools as well as people. To the left of the columns is a wood railing that prevents you from actually walking out too far. Thus hopefully jogging your memory not to wander too far into the view.
