Happy New Year from atlantaSKYrise!

It’s been quite a year for the Atlanta condo market. We have seen some of the best product ever built on the market for the first time in years. What was once mostly poor choices for condo living in Atlanta has turned into a multitude of luxury projects in all major parts of the city. We have seen developers succumb to the crafty ways of the market and savvy buyers, offering huge incentives to close. We have seen auctions take place, which in turn set the new market. We’ve seen some major completed projects never quite get off the ground. We’ve even seen a record sale, which later never appeared in the tax records.

On the bright side, we have also seen some solid brands enter the marketplace, such as The St. Regis Residences and the Ritz-Carlton Residences. It shows us the Atlanta luxury market isn’t over, it’s just beginning.

What does this mean for 2010? It’s the year of opportunity! It’s going to be a great year and full of exciting change! Thank you for all your support!

I was at the St. Regis Hotel & Residences in Buckhead today and was delighted to find out I could enjoy ice skating every day during the holiday season! The Astor Holiday Ice Skating Rink is located on the 7th floor overlooking the Pool Piazza and is open to hotel guests and area residents. This gorgeous 3 bedroom model home at the Ritz-Carlton Residence in Buckhead has everything I’m looking for in a condo. It has beautiful views, a great space (2,699 interior sq. ft./182 sq. ft outside) and really nice finishes. But I’m not looking, you are! The 03 floor plan has 3 different variations and I’m showing you the two-bedroom with den version (03B).

Atlanta Homes & LIfestyles recently featured this model in their last issue, but they didn’t show you the awesome view it has. I think this condo has some of the best views in the city. The building sits back from the main activity and at the edge of a historic neighborhood, so the views from your windows look even better.

I just listed this beautiful one-bedroom condominium at Park Regency. This unit has been completely changed from the original developer offered product. Everything has been upgraded by the owners and they made changes that are timeless and chose finishes that are classic. Compared to other condos available for purchase in the building (and in Atlanta), this one stand out among the crowd. Bistro Niko opened on November 5th at the base of Sovereign, the luxury condominium building with prices start at $1,000,000. Trying a new restaurant the first week it opens is always challenging, but I thought I would give it a try. Bistro Niko did not disappoint in service, interior design or the quality of food which was being served. I’m a tough foodie to impress and I don’t have much patience for bad service or so-so food.
